Something occurred to me today, an idea that perhaps we should attempt. With all of us here together, E-mailing at various intervals, it’s imprecise, chaotic, all over the place. I would like to try and organize us to E-mail at a specific time — essentially, a large bomb may be more effective than an inconsistent spray of machine gun fire, to put in metaphor.
For a little while, I’d like to ask everyone to follow suit in this idea: At a specific time in the day, send one or more E-mails (However many is comfortable) to Tumblr asking for a specific blog to be reinstated on the basis that they have been suspended wrongfully through false accusations. Tumblr may become aware if there are a large pile of them coming in all at the same time. Could it be effective? Perhaps, perhaps not. But, it is something that I believe could be worth attempting.
An ideal time for doing this, I believe, would be:
- 5PM PST
- 6PM MST
- 7PM CST
- 8PM EST
Keep in mind that these times are at the exact same time. Convert if not in the US.A blog we could attempt to recover first in this fashion is http://ask-lil-miss-rarity.tumblr.com/. It is easily the most widely known instance of report abuse, and would make for a good example.
I wouldn’t recommend starting right away, since not everyone that may be interested will have read this post, causing ineffectiveness. It should happen all at once, in my opinion.
Let’s begin this attempt from Thursday evening, and continue on for days afterward for a while. I do hope I won’t be the only one to participate, and that Tumblr will notice if we try.
